Dhanvantari Clinic was established as Vistapith, Athoorwala’s first specialised neonatal and pediatric clinic following persistent requests from local residents and former patients. Families in the area previously had to travel long distances for specialised newborn evaluations, growth guidance, and pediatric consultations.
Founded by Dr. Debajyoti Banerjee (MBBS [Gold Medalist], MD Pediatrics), the clinic focuses on compassionate, evidence-based healthcare. It provides dedicated outpatient medical care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and adults across Athoorwala, Vistapith, Jolly Grant, Bhaniyawala, Doiwala, Dehradun, and the surrounding hill regions of Uttarakhand.

With nearly a decade of clinical and academic teaching experience, Dr. Banerjee is an Advanced NRP & PALS Provider (accredited by AAP, NNF India, and AHA) and Life Member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) and National Neonatology Forum (NNF). His former clinical associations include Ex. Senior Resident at Himalayan Hospital (UK, India), Ex. AIIMS Rishikesh, and Ex. ITBP Force.
He was honored with the prestigious Indus Foundation Academic Excellence Award 2017. Several original research papers have been published in PubMed, National Library of Medicine, United States, indexed journals like British Medical Journal (BMJ), Journals of Springer Nature, Cureus Journal, and several others.
